Thanksgiving Day, mostly celebrated in the US and Canada, is a festival to thank the good harvests given by the Lord and the solved-problems during the previous year. Different with the American, the Canadians celebrates Thanksgiving festival on the second Monday every October. The Americans themselves hold the festival on the last Thursday of November every year. Thanksgiving Day is determined as a National holiday for people in Canada and America.

The beginning of the festival is when the Pilgrims of Ply Colony were saved by the Native of Americans. As a recompense, the Pilgrims held feast with the food made of fishes, fowls, shellfish, fruits, and vegetables for the Native Americans. The feast were taken place for three days, and until recently, the Americans commemorate the day of redemption by celebrating the Thanksgiving Day.

In Canada, the Thanksgiving Day was firstly celebrated when Martin Frobisher, an explorer, arrived home safely after trying to discover any archipelago in the north of Pacific Ocean. He was failed to discover such archipelago but felt so thankful because he was able to return home, unlike the previous explorers from Canada. As a symbol of thankful, a feast and ceremony was held by Frobisher, and several years later, people in Canada continues to have the feast annually.

Some traditions including gathering with family, tasting Turkey, performing parades, and watching football games are handled to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. The most important one is gathering and having feast with family. In this occasion, people live far away from their family are usually come back to have the feast for Thanksgiving Day together. Before having the feast, they pray together and thank for any goods given to their family for the whole year and also hope that any bad things will keep away from them. As a special dish of the feast, turkey is served together with Pumpkin Pie, Cranberry sauce, and the other savory dishes.
